# UI Enhancement - Professional Blog Website

## Overview
This document details the UI improvements made to transform the WriteOnce blog into a professional blog website with dark mode support.

## Changes Summary

### 1. Dark Mode Infrastructure

#### Tailwind Configuration
- **File**: `tailwind.config.js`
- **Change**: Added `darkMode: 'class'` to enable class-based dark mode

#### Theme Service
- **File**: `src/app/theme.service.ts` (NEW)
- **Features**:
  - Signal-based state management
  - Toggle between light/dark themes
  - Persists preference to localStorage
  - Checks system preference on first load
  - Applies theme to `<html>` element

#### Index HTML
- **File**: `src/index.html`
- **Changes**:
  - Added inline script for theme initialization (prevents flash)
  - Added transition classes to body for smooth theme changes
  - Default: `bg-slate-50 dark:bg-slate-900`

### 2. Header Component

#### Header Template
- **File**: `src/app/header/header.component.html`
- **Features**:
  - Logo with brand name
  - Responsive navigation (desktop: horizontal, mobile: hamburger menu)
  - Dark mode toggle button (sun/moon icons)
  - Sticky positioning
  - Smooth transitions

#### Header Logic
- **File**: `src/app/header/header.component.ts`
- **Features**:
  - Inject ThemeService
  - Mobile menu toggle state

#### Hero Section

- **Features**:
  - Gradient background (teal)
  - Welcome title and tagline

- **Features**:
  - 3-column responsive grid (1 on mobile, 2 on tablet, 3 on desktop)
  - Card hover effects with shadow
  - Tag badges with teal colors
  - Title with hover state
  - Line-clamp for introduction text

- Improved styling with rounded buttons
- Theme-aware colors

  - Max-width container for readability
  - Card-based layout with shadow
  - Header with title, author, and date
  - Improved spacing

- **Changes**:
  - Dark mode text colors
  - Better heading hierarchy (h2 instead of h1)
  - Increased line height for readability

#### Image Caption

  - Rounded corners
  - Shadow effect
  - Dark mode caption text
